Simple, Lean, Powerful HTTP Applications with Ratpack
Recorded at SpringOne2GX 2015 Presenter: Ken Kousen Groovy Ecosystem Track Ratpack is a microframework based on Groovy and Java 8 for generating high performance HTTP applications. Built on top of Netty, Google Guava, and Reactive Streams, it focuses on allowing HTTP applications to be efficient, modular, and adaptive to changing requirements. Ratpack supports any JVM-based language, though it directly supports Groovy. It is event based, using a non-blocking HTTP IO engine, making it easy to structure response logic. It also was designed with both unit and integration testing in mind. After reviewing the core architecture, a series of demos that highlight the core features will be presented.
