A new approach to diversity and inclusion in tech. 2016 is the year of focusing on allies when it comes to diversity and inclusion in tech. This talk explains why allies have more time, energy, and influence to change tech culture than the targets of oppression, and describes a dozen skills every ally should develop. Speaker: Valerie Aurora, Frame Shift Initiative Valerie Aurora is the co-founder and former executive director of the Ada Initiative, which supported women in open technology and culture, and worked as a Linux kernel and file systems developer for over a decade.
