WWF Earth Hour App Created By Xtreme Labs

Tell ghost stories? Look at the stars? Host an earth our party? Make street light puppets?… it is surprising what you can do in 1 hour of darkness. Earth Hour is coming up Saturday March 26 at 8:30pm and Xtreme Labs wants to make sure you are not alone in the dark. We created the Earth Hour application on BlackBerry smartphones in partnership with WWF and RIM to keep everyone around the globe connected.

As people turn off their lights to show support for solutions to climate change, the application will keep you up to date with international and Canadian news, local events, and participants from across the world. There is even a count down clock so you don’t start a minute late! The app lets people tweet to the Earth Hour stream and submit photos to Twitpic. Supporters can also email their friends, update their Facebook status and upload photos to their Facebook wall to spread Earth Hour awareness.

Download the app at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/31151?lang=en and get ready for the big night!
