iOS Roundup: Week of May 14, 2012
Cool things this week:
- Christopher’s Objective-C helper classes: XTL, XTL_Framerate, XTL_Debug, XTL_DeviceHardware, XTL_ArcCompatibility.
- Should use UITextField for custom search bars rather than UISearchBar.
Headaches this week:
- Blocks are handled properly about 95% of the time (ARC); however, a block is created on the stack and thus must be copied if it is to be retained for a later time.
- TWRequest (Native iOS 5.0 Twitter) uses Twitter’s REST API which does not allow you to log into an account.
