iOS Roundup: Week of June 18, 2012

June 19, 2012 Derek Webb

Cool things this week:

Headaches this week:

  • QLPreviewController is locked even more in iOS 6.0.
  • Xcode 4.2 will not inform you if the file owner is not properly set within a NIB.
  • LLVM vs GDB
  • Weak pointers have “magic” behaviour after being removed from a data structure (as they are released)
  • OHAttributedLabel does not work well in a UITableView; multiple labels with different properties worked much better.
