GroupMe Mobile App Wins SXSW Breakout Award

GroupMe for BlackBerry, collaborated with Xtreme Labs, won the Breakout Digital Trend Award at the South by Southwest Interactive Awards.

South by Southwest (SXSW) conference was the largest it has ever been with over 20,000 attendees. Group messaging apps overall have been very popular this year, but GroupMe came out on top amongst all its competitors.

With GroupMe, users can easily communicate in real-time with multiple contacts on their BlackBerry smartphone. Just save a group’s exclusive number to your contact list and instantly group text or initiate conference calls. This application is reinventing the way groups communicate with a quick, easy and fun experience.
