Pivotal Partner Ecosystem Shows Strong Momentum

Nick Cayou

Last year, Pivotal® launched its partner program, Pivotal Ready Partner Program (PRPP) on the strength of Pivotal's meteoric customer momentum. Today, we’re proud to announce that over 100 global and regional systems integrators and consultancies have joined us on our mission to transform how the world builds software.

PRPP provides our integration and consulting partners with a wealth of tools, education, and enablement options to help them address the explosive demand for cloud-native services. As Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Pivotal Container Service, and Spring Cloud become the standards for cloud-native application development in Fortune 500 companies, a new market has emerged to help enterprise customers on their multi-year effort to rewrite, refactor, and migrate legacy applications onto PCF.

In order for Fortune 500 companies to operate at startup speeds, they need to migrate the thousands of applications that run their existing business onto PCF—which requires cloud-native modernization know-how. As a result, in order to focus on building software that creates value for their business, our customers have entrusted our PRPP partners to help them rapidly modernize their legacy application estates.

In response to this growing demand, partners from the world’s largest consultancies are diving in to be part of the cloud-native revolution with Pivotal:

“Our partnership with Pivotal is designed to accelerate the adoption of cloud applications and software platforms at enterprise scale. Cognizant’s application engineering expertise and industry knowledge, coupled with Pivotal Cloud Foundry, enables large businesses to rapidly deploy critical cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Together with Pivotal, Cognizant is building a broad suite of offerings to help our customers through their digital transformation journey.”

Sowri Krishnan, SVP, Digital Engineering, Cognizant

"We see a large percentage of the Fortune 500 choosing Pivotal Cloud Foundry. As a digital innovation consultancy, we are aligned at our core with Pivotal and have built a robust cloud-native practice to help our clients accelerate their journeys on the platform.”

Andrew Whiting, VP of Business Development, Solstice

“Partnering with Pivotal gives Megazone the ability to apply modern software development methodologies such as Agile and DevOps to build Cloud Native Microservices for Korean Enterprises. We are also proud to be given the opportunity to build up our services offerings around the best in class platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry. As a pioneer in the Korean Cloud market, Megazone will do its utmost to accelerate digital transformation for domestic enterprise customers with the support from Pivotal.”

Max Lee, Founder, Megazone Korea

“We joined the PRPP program to respond to market demand for Pivotal Cloud Foundry in Europe. Our engineers have been fully trained by Pivotal and we’re excited to add new cloud-native consulting skills to our existing cloud consulting practice.”

Francisco Perez van der Oord, CEO, ITQ

“As our customers increasingly adopt a ‘Cloud State-of-Mind’, HCL has built a strong portfolio of services to help our customers reimagine themselves as Cloud Native enterprises. Our partnership with Pivotal, and expertise in Pivotal Cloud Foundry are key enablers of our Cloud Native services.”

Kalyan Kumar, CTO, HCL Technologies

Pivotal Ready Partner Program Fueled by Pivotal Cloud Foundry

Pivotal Cloud Foundry expertise and cloud-native development skills are among the most in-demand skills in the tech industry. To meet this demand, Pivotal created the Pivotal Partner Portal, the Platform Acceleration Lab, and Partner Days to help our partners become more proficient with our methodology and technology—allowing them to build durable, high-margin cloud-native development practices

The Pivotal Partner Portal provides self-service, role-based training for our partners’ sales, pre-sale, and delivery teams and it’s highly curated to ensure we’re providing the latest and greatest content.

The Platform Acceleration Lab (PAL) takes training to an entirely new level, providing in-person, fully immersive training for our partner developers. PAL is taught by partner engineers practicing alongside Pivotal software developers and architects. To date, over 100 partner engineers and architects have graduated from the three-week program, and over 90% of them are working with our key enterprise customers to accelerate their application modernization efforts. Most importantly, participant responses have been extremely positive:

“I was one of the luckiest to attend the first batch of PAL. It was an awesome training time at beautiful location in Boulder. It was a great learning experience in cloud native as companies are moving rapidly into cloud space. The training material available for us is very helpful at client engagements.”

Aditya Sabadra, Cloud-Native Developer and Architect, Capgemini

Pivotal Partner Days provides an opportunity for our partners to get briefed on the latest cloud-native trends and receive training on Pivotal Cloud Foundry, as well as application replatforming  methodologies.

What’s Next: Continued Growth

Stay tuned for more from Pivotal.  We will continue to expand our partner ecosystem as many more of the world’s largest consultancies build cloud-native practices based on Pivotal’s next-generation software development methodology and Pivotal Cloud Foundry platform.

On our end, we’ll continue to build new online training content, expand our Platform Acceleration Labs into new geographies, and continue to host Partner Days in a city near you.

Finally, we always want to work with partners committed to helping Fortune 2000 companies operate at startup speeds, so contact us at partners@pivotal.io or join us at Spring One Platform Conference in San Francisco.
